Synopsis

Till the Stars Come Down, Beth Steel’s acclaimed new play, is transferring from the National to the West End’s Theatre Royal Haymarket for its theatreland premiere this summer. The critics adore this deliriously amusing, passionate family drama.

Till the Stars Come Down the story
Sylvia and Marek are getting married. It’s a gorgeous hot summer’s day and everyone’s in the mood for a celebration. The family gathers to meet and welcome Marek into the fold. But as the vodka flows, people get drunk and the dancing becomes more frenzied, passions boil over. Will the far limits of love be tested, and if so will love conquer all despite the fact that the wedding has opened up an uncertain future nobody could have expected? This brilliantly funny play reveals how one family struggles to cope in a world that suddenly seems to be changing alarmingly fast.
