Synopsis

As they chat backstage in a dressing room, three comedy legends explore the mysteries of life, death, comedy, and the meaning of being funny. Welcome to The Last Laugh, a fresh new play about Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse.

The Last Laugh – The Story
This laugh-out-loud, laugh a minute show comes from the award-winning writer and presenter Paul Hendy, who also directs. He’s no stranger to Cooper, Monkhouse and Morecambe, having written, produced and directed the short film The Last Laugh in which the same three comedians discuss the secrets of life and comedy. In 2018 Hendy produced and directed Mr Sunshine, a short film exploring the life of Eric Morecambe.

Having wowed audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe before taking off on a UK tour, the show is heading for London in 2025 to bring joy to audiences of every age, whether or not they remember the trio. This is a warm hearted, funny, nostalgic and poignant play packed with gags and stories to deliver the ultimate feel-good West End experience.

Add them together and you get sheer stage magic.
