Midnight Cowboy – the story
Meet Joe Buck, an unusually good-looking young man who is fleeing a dead end past. Having left his old life behind to find wealth and fame in the city, he meets someone who is just as lost. Together he and Rico ‘Ratso’ Rizzo are prepared to do absolutely anything to make their dreams come true, including sacrificing part of themselves. But New York is a tough customer, a brutal jungle where survival is never easy.

Midnight Cowboy cast and creatives
The show stars Max Bowden (EastEnders, Waterloo Road, Birdsong) as Rico and Paul Jacob French (Grease, An Officer and a Gentleman) as Joe Buck. Tori Allen-Martin (Here We Go, I Wish You Well: The Gwyneth Paltrow Ski-Trial Musical, London Kills) plays Cass. Christian Maynard (Miss Saigon) is Tombaby, Elena Breschi (Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World) is Delores, Joanne Henry (Bridgerton) plays Grandma Sally and Nick Len (Wicked) is Swing. We have Hollie-Ann Lowe (Burlesque The Musical) as Swing, Dean Makowski-Clayton (Little Fiend) as Student, Phoebe Roberts (Grease) as Chalkline Annie, Tim Rogers (An Officer and a Gentleman) as Woodsy Niles, Rohan Tickell (Rock of Ages) as Mr O’Daniel, and Matthew White (The Mousetrap) as Towny.

The show is Directed and choreographed by Nick Winston (Burlesque The Musical) with a book by Bryony Lavery, the writer of Frozen, and a soundtrack by three Ivor Novello winner Francis ‘Eg’ White, who has written hits for stars like Adele, Sam Smith, and James Morrison. Musical arrangements, orchestrations and musical supervision are by Charlie Ingles, with set and lighting design by Andrew Exeter, costume design by Sophia Pardon, sound design by Yvonne Gilbert, and creative development by Nick Winston. Production management comes from James Anderton, musical direction by Ellie Verkerk, associate direction and choreography by Libby Watts, associate set design by Natalia Alvarez, and props supervision by Katie Balmforth. The costume supervision is by Josh Bamling, intimacy direction by Lucy Fennell, and dialect coaching by Mary Howland. ADAMA Entertainment produces the fun.
