Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson (Room, Lessons in Chemistry, Captain Marvel) makes her West End debut in a brand new translation of the Greek classic Elektra. Book Elektra tickets on London Theatre.

Elektra is a play that tells the story of Elektra, who, in the wake of her father’s assassination, is overwhelmed with grief. When her brother, Orestes, returns after many years, they both seek revenge for their father’s brutal murder. But at what cost?

This brand new translation of Sophocles’ classic work is by award-winning poet Anne Carson, who has earned the MacArthur ‘Genius’ Grant and the Guggenheim Fellowship. Carson is known for Autobiography of Red and another Sophocles translation, Antigone.

Elektra in London is the first major revival in a decade, and it boasts an excellent creative team led by director Daniel Fish (Oklahoma!). Choreography is by Annie-B Parson (Here Lies Love), scenic design is by Jeremy Herbert (Hamlet), lighting design is by Adam Silverman (The Glass Menagerie), costume design is by Doey Lüthi (over and over vorbeinicht vorbei), sound design is by Max and Ben Ringham (A Doll’s House), and music is by Ted Hearne (Place).

The talented cast starring alongside Brie Larson include Stockard Channing (The West Wing, The Good Wife), Marième Diouf (Romeo and Juliet), Greg Hicks (Grapes of Wrath), and Patrick Vaill (Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Oklahoma!).
